Placrylic™ unveiled 40 plant paintings at the National Trust’s Middlethorpe Hall in York

Following The National Trust's Placrylic-based art installation in Spring 2022, collectors, industry leaders and artists will gather to see 40 new historic paintings created with Placrylic, a sustainable plant medium for artists invented by English Painter and Chemist, artist hana in 2020, to address the climate and health concerns modern artists are worried about

British Vogue’s Sustainability Editor, Dana Thomas and Veronica Sekules, owner of the only Sustainable Gallery in the world, Groundwork Gallery, will sit for live speedy placrylic paint portraits on the day by English Placrylic Artist Brad Kenny whose collectors include Tom Jones

Placrylic™ is a patented sustainable plant paint that behaves like traditional oil paint in that artists can work in layers. However, unlike some oil paints like titanium-white paint that has a negative impact on ocean chemistry when washed down the drain, placrylic is 100% titanium free, marine friendly, and safe for use by artists

The Placrylic Art Fair was held on November 16, 2022, at York's Middlethorpe Hall. Thirty highly regarded painters from twelve nations have employed Placrylic to create these sustainable plant paintings

In keeping with the art fair theme of pandemics and migration, the artists used a limited palette of placrylic colours; eco black, eco blue, eco yellow and eco green

Paintings to be unveiled at the fair include a portrait of Damien Hirst burning his paintings, painting of smallpox vaccine advocate, Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and other migration themed works of art
