Lital Albeldas

Israeli Artist

‘My painting style always comes from an intuitive place and because of this, over the years, my creations have taken on different styles, such as realistic, figurative, and abstract’

After being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2021, she plunged into her work with a renewed desire to broadcast the unique and bitterly painful struggles of the disease's victims. Drawing on communal starvation for relief from the dreaded symptoms, her most recent works present the female form in both dark and light; the archetypal contrast. She is represented by Agora Gallery, NYC

New Beginning

by Lital Albeldas

  • ‘Fear, excitement, loneliness, courage, hope, anxiety, and strength all describe my feelings and emotions regarding migration. Some people have a choice to start over and begin a new life, but some don’t. I felt all these feelings when I created my painting, the fear of leaving everything behind, the excitement of being in a new place, the hope for a better life, and the courage to make the decision. I used yellow to symbolize hope, green for a new beginning, and the color blue to remind me of the sky and the ocean, both evoking mixed feelings of fear and calm at the same time.'.
